In Castle Cove, NSW, a homeowner set out to achieve full energy independence by going completely off-grid. Valen Power supplied WeCo 5K3-XP rack-mount lithium modules, selected for their superior energy density, reliability, and plug-and-play design—forming the backbone of a powerful residential off-grid system.

The System

The off-grid setup included:

• 32 x WeCo 5K3-XP 48V rack-mount modules
• 169kWh total battery storage
• 30kW of solar (15kW AC-coupled and 15kW DC-coupled)
• Victron Cerbo GX for intelligent monitoring and control

Together, the system provides up to 70 hours of autonomy, allowing the homeowner to comfortably run their property with no grid connection.
