Client: Queensland Rail
Application: Extension of Radio Network for Rail Signalling Coverage in Remote Areas
Project Overview
In response to the client’s requirement to extend their rail signalling radio network into remote and off-grid locations, Valen Power was engaged to design and supply a robust, modular solar power system capable of operating reliably under harsh environmental conditions.
Through our Discover, Design, Deliver, and Support process, Valen provided a turnkey energy solution tailored to support critical telecommunications infrastructure—ensuring uninterrupted operation of signalling and communications essential for network safety and continuity.
Scope of Works
- Engineering design and supply of modular solar energy systems
- Site-ready kits including solar generation, energy storage, and structural mounting
- Integration of components into a scalable, relocatable solution
- Initial deployment expanded after successful implementation
Technical Solution
The solution deployed was the Valen ModX6 — a modular, pre-engineered standalone power system designed specifically for remote infrastructure requiring high reliability and simplified deployment. The system is engineered to be rapidly deployable, with minimal civil works, and offers long-term reliability with minimal maintenance.
