AGM Batteries

Valen’s AGM range delivers rechargeable, deep cycle, Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) battery technology across four product lines: Topin, X-CEL, ENVIROX-CEL and ENVIROX-CELPlus. All are built on Absorbent Glass Matting (AGM) construction, which suspends the battery electrolyte rather than leaving it loose as in automotive-type batteries. This construction, commonly referred to as Sealed Lead Acid (SLA), makes for a battery that is robust, safe and maintenance-free.

Valen Topin

The Valen Topin Monobloc range holds CSIRO ActivFire SSL Approval and complies with AS4029.2, making it the battery of choice for the fire industry. Stringent quality-controlled manufacturing and in-house testing back an 8-year design life in standby applications.

Valen X-CEL

Valen X-CEL is our advanced AGM range, built on the same safe, maintenance-free VRLA/AGM foundation with added performance advantages. High purity virgin lead plates incorporating 1.6% tin reduce sulphation and plate delamination, substantially extending battery life. This advanced construction gives the Valen X-CEL 6-12V range a 10-year design life, ideal for critical standby applications.

Valen ENVIROX-CEL Front Terminal

The Valen ENVIROX-CEL Front Terminal range is manufactured with unique high purity virgin lead plates incorporating calcium, giving it an extremely long float life. Its slimline design retrofits into 19-inch racking for a compact, effective battery system, with a narrow profile and front-facing terminals that are easy to access for installation and maintenance. Optional ventilation tubing allows the batteries to be exteriorly vented. Stringent quality-controlled manufacturing and in-house testing enable a 12-year design life.

Valen ENVIROX-CELPlus Front Terminal

Valen ENVIROX-CELPlus uses an advanced graphitic carbon and carbon black blend in its active material, enabling faster recharging and greater efficiency in harsh environments. Made in the UAE, it’s designed to endure higher-temperature standby conditions up to 65°C, with shock-resistant, flame-retardant casing to withstand external temperatures. Its slimline design also retrofits into 19-inch racking for a compact, effective battery system. Stringent quality-controlled manufacturing and in-house testing give the Valen ENVIROX-CELPlus Front Terminal range a 15-year design life, making it the front terminal battery of choice for critical standby applications or sites with an unstable grid.
