What is included in a ModX2, and what do I still need to supply?
Supplied as an integrated, factory-tested unit: the solar array on its certified fixed frame, the LiFePOâ‚„ battery modules, solar charge control, inverter and DC-DC conversion, the monitoring controller, and the stainless steel enclosure with 4RU or more of designated space for your own equipment. It arrives pre-wired and tested, with structural certification documentation.
Supplied by others, and worth budgeting for early:
- A level, certified concrete slab with chemical anchors. ModX2 mounts to a prepared foundation. Pre-engineered foundation designs are available as an option.
- The earthing electrode and its cable to the internal earth bar, targeting under 10 ohms.
- Site access suitable for a crane or lifting equipment. The unit lifts with batteries in place via integral lifting eyes, at a minimum 60° lift angle, and a spreader bar is recommended.
- Freight and delivery, quoted separately.
- Installation, connection and commissioning by a licensed electrical worker.
The weight of a three-battery configuration is approximately 480 kg, with overall dimensions of 2183 mm × 850 mm × 811 mm excluding the solar array. Confirm crane access and slab design against those figures before order.
