Is a ModX2 certified for cyclonic wind regions?

ModX2 is supplied as standard with structural certification to AS 1170.2 Wind Region C, Importance Level 2, and can be supplied certified to Wind Region D, Importance Level 1 on request. The certification covers the integrated solar frame and enclosure as a system, and the documentation is supplied with the unit.

This is the specification detail that most often decides a remote-infrastructure procurement in northern Australia, and it is worth understanding why. Structural certification for a field-built solar mounting structure is a separate engineering exercise, typically costing several thousand dollars and taking 6 to 12 weeks, and it has to be repeated, or at least reviewed, for each new site classification. Buying a platform that already carries Region C Importance Level 2 documentation removes that item from the project schedule entirely.

If your site is in Region D, or is Importance Level 3 or above because of the criticality of the load, tell us at enquiry stage rather than at design review. The upgrade path exists but it is a documented variation, not a field decision.
